ABSTRACT | ||
According to existentialist philosophers, discussion of
the theory of being is necessary before a discussion of epistemology. Heidegger
is an existential philosopher. He discussed the daily experience of existence
of a man in his existential philosophy. He says that the human being is the
only being who is aware of his own existence. Man is the only being who can ask
questions about everything. He explained the existence of man in relation to
the world. He said that man proceeds to fulfill all his potential by being
thrown into the world. He did not see man and the world separately. He said
that there is an intimate relationship between man and the world. He uses a
neutral component term to describe the relationship between man and the world.
This term is 'Dasein'. The main purpose of my paper is to discuss how Heidegger
addresses 'the problem of being' and explains the relationship between man and
the world.
